PRINCIPAL PROFILE: BRIDGET GADDIS, AIA, LEED AP
Architecture, as a profession, is an increasingly complicated field. In addition to design and construction of the built environment, issues of technology, product investigation, and business must be part of the architect’s skill set. How well these many disciplines are managed and assimilated is an indication of a successful project. It is the key to how we actualize a vision. There is nothing quite as exciting as seeing months of work and planning materialize into a built project.
For many years Bridget Gaddis worked for architecture firms specializing in national and international commercial and commercial retail projects. In addition she has held positions with a property owner in tenant coordination, with a developer in site design, and with a national retailer in store planning. “Take a ways” from each one of these positions have provided her with a comprehensive understanding of the industry and the ability to mentor a client through what can be a daunting process. Since 2011 she has been the owner and principal of
Gaddis Architect where she is happy to be working with a wide variety businesses.
Ms. Gaddis is the author of the “Insights” column on this website, a blog entitled “Real People Don’t Hire Architects.” and is active in the Alexandria Small Business Development Center. She holds a professional degree in Interior Design from Kent State University and a professional graduate degree in Architecture from Miami University. She is a Leed Accredited Professional, NCARB certified, currently licensed in NJ, VA, MD, KS, MO, and a member of the America Institute of Architects.
